I purposefully placed my desk by a window so that I could look out onto the world as I work. Whilst my fingertips type away on the keys and they click and clatter my words into being, I can look up to watch clouds scud across the sky, a bird dart by. I can notice the changing colours of the trees on the horizon and the colorful hoverflies that come to rest on my window ledge.

I moved to Madison, WI a couple of years ago and I love the lakes! So last summer I was watching these interesting boats on Lake Mendota and wondering. What the heck are they doing? A little investigation and I found out they were the weed boats.
